1. a small fruit that grows on bushes. It is hollow and shaped like a cone. Raspberries are usually red or black, but some kinds are purple white, or yellow. Each berry is composed of many drupelets.
2. the bush that it grows on. The raspberry is a species of bramble and belongs to the rose family.
3. a reddish purple.
4. Slang. a sound of disapproval or derision made with the tongue and lips.
